Built at the intersection of Japan and the West.

Ladislav Bartos — Founder

I've spent the last decade working where Western and Japanese business meet — and learning why so many companies struggle at that intersection.

I led product execution for DAZN's Japan launch — including product integration and user experience for partnerships with Docomo, Amazon, Apple, AU, and the Japan Cable TV Association.

At Rakuten, I managed a 70-person product and engineering organization — developers, DevOps, PMs, QA, test automation, mobile — and reorganized it to deliver faster and better. At Indeed Japan, I product managed AI-driven job matching for the Japanese market.

Before Japan, I was VP of Product in London, where I led product teams and ran The Product Group — a monthly meetup for product professionals with 70+ regular attendees.

I started BARTOSS because I kept seeing the same pattern: good companies failing at the Japan-West boundary. Not because their products were bad, but because no one on the team truly understood both sides. Market research doesn't fix that. Experience does.
